A SIMPLE SITTING TIMER

05:00

Arrive exactly as you are.

A gentle bell marks the end of your session.
Keep this page open while you sit.

THE POWER OF SITTING LESS STRIVING. MORE BEING.

YOUR NEXT MOMENT OF STILLNESS

The world can wait
for a few breaths.

Set a little time aside. Let your shoulders soften.
For now, there is nowhere else to be.

Keep your eyes softly open or close them if comfortable.
Adjust your posture whenever you need to.

THE ART OF SIMPLY BEING

Nothing to chase.
Everything to notice.

So much of life asks us to do more, move faster, become someone. Sitting offers another possibility: meet this moment as you are.

Inspired by Buddhist meditation, this is a space for returning to the breath, observing the mind, and bringing a little more awareness into ordinary life.

START WHERE YOU ARE

A small practice.
A spacious life.

No perfect posture. No special state of mind.
Just a willingness to begin.

01

Take your seat

Choose a cushion or a chair. Let your feet or legs feel supported. Sit upright without holding yourself rigid.

SETTLE INTO THE BODY
02

Meet your breath

Let breathing happen naturally. Notice one inhale, then one exhale. There is no need to change either.

RETURN TO WHAT IS HERE
03

Begin again

When attention wanders, notice it gently. Coming back is the practice. Each return is a fresh beginning.

MAKE ROOM FOR KINDNESS

REFLECTIONS FOR THE EVERYDAY

Carry the stillness
with you.

The practice does not end
when you stand up.

THE WANDERING MIND You do not have to stop thinking.
Thoughts are part of the experience, not a sign that you are doing it wrong. Notice a thought without needing to follow its story. Then feel the next breath. A sitting session can be full of thoughts and still be a moment of awareness.
THE ORDINARY MOMENT Let one small thing be enough.
The warmth of a cup. The sound of rain. Your feet touching the floor. Choose one ordinary sensation and give it your attention for a few breaths. You do not need to make the moment special to be present for it.
THE DAILY RETURN Five minutes is a beginning.
Choose an easy moment in your day: before checking your phone, after making tea, or when the house becomes quiet. Sit for a few minutes. When you miss a day, begin again the next. Let consistency grow from kindness rather than pressure.

COME BACK TO THIS MOMENT

You are already here.

Take your seat. Let that be enough.

Sit for a while
